Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an ancient technique that studies the affects of dysfunctional Qi. This Qi can becomes blocked, stagnant or damp. By placing needles the thickness of the human hair in specific points in the body I am able to remove blockages in the Qi and allow it to flow freely. By twisting the needles manually I can activate the Qi more quickly.

To increase warmth and circulation to the acupuncture area, I often use a technique called moxibustion. I do this by holding lit mug-wort, an herb, close to the effected area.

The needles are left in for 15 to 40 minutes depending on the results needed and the total procedure can last from 30 to 60 minutes.
